Product Description

SODIUM FORMATE

White crystalline powder with water absorbing performance and slight formic acid odour, soluble in water glycerol, slightly soluble in ethanol, not soluble in ether. Its melting point is 253°C.

Application

Used for leather industry, main USES are as follows:

(1) mainly used in the production of formic acid, oxalic acid and insurance powder, but also used in the production of dimethyl formamide.Also used in medicine, printing and dyeing industry.;

(2) reagents, disinfectants and mordant used for the determination of phosphorus and arsenic;

(3) as a preservative.Purpose 4: used for alkyd resin coating, plasticizer, strength;

(4) used as explosives, acid resistant materials, aviation lubricating oil, adhesive additives.
