Pumice is versatile and can be used in various industries. Hess Pumice Products Inc. produces over 300 spec grades of pumice to meet the requirements of customers.

Features of Pumice

- Amorphous silica that is safe for human body, has high hardness among silica-based abrasives and is excellent in abrasion resistance
- Porous, good water absorption and air permeability
- Light weighted and has high capacity for the same weight

- Mainly composed of silica, excellent in fire resistance and heat insulation
- Inorganic material with excellent chemical stability, free from decomposition, combustion, and corrosion
- Low-heavy mineral content (less than 0.1%) and 3 to 15 microns are available due to the high-tech crushing and selection process and strict quality control

- A wide range of particle sizes is available, from 3 microns to 4 millimeters
