Scrimaglio
The Scrimaglio family, present in Piedmont since the 17th century, was originally known by the name of Escrimeaux (swordsman) and lived in France. Following the persecution of the Huguenots, the Scrimaglio family fled France and came to the Monferrato area. Here they gave their name to an area that continues to be known as Regione Scrimaglio to this day.

The historic Scrimaglio winery in Nizza Monferrato was established in 1920, when Pietro Scrimaglio expanded the activities of his father Francesco, a winegrower. After the war, grandsons Franco and Mario, and later the founder's great-grandsons Pier Giorgio and Francesco, consolidated the winery's image and increased its presence on the international markets. The Scrimaglio winery is known for having always been dedicated to the production of wines located in a position of prestige.

Terre da Vino has recently purchased the Scrimaglio brand and, after several years' work, will be presenting it on the markets again from 2020, the 100th anniversary of its foundation. The commitment is to develop its presence and image throughout the world and, above all, to preserve the traditional style of products that indissolubly links the winery to its terroir.
