In the heart of Maremma, Jacopo Biondi Santi and his children are writing a new chapter of their family’s history of winemaking excellence.
The Biondi Santi family has gained a special place in the world of Italian winemaking thanks to the lively and passionate inventiveness of its members. The beginnings of this brilliant adventure date back to the 1800s, when Ferruccio Biondi Santi planted his first vineyard in Montalcino with vines obtained from a selected Sangiovese clone, called Sangiovese Grosso:
it was the first step towards a new approach to winemaking that would
soon become a national and international success. An extraordinary oenological
heritage which has inspired Jacopo, treading the path forged by his ancestors, to create new traditions, wines endowed with an unmistakeable
contemporary style. In the Montepò estate, Jacopo has found the perfect
home for his Sangiovese Grosso BBS 11, building with vigorous individuality
an even brighter future for his family. An intense work in which experience,
intuition and artistry all come together, undertaken by Jacopo Biondi Santi
together with his children Tancredi, Clemente and Clio.
