Product Description
Sodium benzoate
Sodium benzoate, also known as sodium benzoin, is a common food preservative in China's food industry at present. It has no odor or trace benzoin smell, and is sweet and astringent. Stable in the air, can absorb moisture when exposed in the air. It naturally exists in blueberries, apples, plums, cranberries, cranberries, dried prunes, cinnamon and cloves, and its germicidal efficacy is weaker than that of benzoic acid. The germicidal efficacy of 1.180g sodium benzoate is equivalent to 1g benzoic acid. In acidic environment, sodium benzoate has obvious inhibitory effect on many microorganisms. When PH is 3.5, 0.05% solution can completely inhibit yeast growth, but when pH is above 5.5, it has poor effect on many molds and yeasts.
