GLOBALSTAR GLASS--Tempered Glass Description:
- Tempered glass is produced by heating annealed glass in a furnace to 620 degree centigrade. Progressing from the furnace, the
glass is rapidly cooled with jets of cold air, inducing compressive stresses to the surface while the center remains tensile.
- It is 5 times stronger than annealed glass of the same thickness.
- Stronger resistance to thermal breakage than annealed or heat strengthened glass
- If breakage occurs the glass breaks up into small, cubical fragments, which are not threatening to humans.

Laminated glass is made from two or three pieces of glass with a thin PVB or SGP film between each glass, processed with high
temperature and high pressure. It can be made from
high-grade float glass, plated glass, tempered glass and curved glass. It would not crash into fragments when broken, since they
are felt by the film. It would reduce the harm to people by the glass piece when the glass was broken, since it's not easily
penetrated.
