Application:

Used for precision casting, as a sand binder; the metal surface treated with ethyl silicate can be anticorrosive and waterproof. Ethyl silicate can be used to infiltrate silicon on the surface of metal.

The treatment of optical glass can improve the transmittance. After the hydrolysis, the fine silica powder can be used to make phosphors. Ethyl silicate is the raw material of organosilicon oil.

Ethyl silicate can also be used in the manufacture of heat-resistant and chemical resistant coatings.
