About PPSU:

 

PPSU is a linear polymer with amber color. In addition to strong polar solvents, concentrated nitric acid and sulfuric acid, it is stable to general acids, bases, salts, alcohols and aliphatic hydrocarbons. It is partly soluble in ester, ketone and aromatic hydrocarbon, but soluble in halohydrocarbon and DM. Good rigidity and toughness, high temperature resistance, thermal oxidation resistance, creep resistance, corrosion resistance of inorganic acid, alkali and salt solution, ion radiation resistance, non-toxic, good insulation and self extinguishing, easy molding and processing.

 

PPSU Application:

 

1. PPSU is suitable for making heat-resistant parts, insulation parts, wear-resistant parts, instrument parts and medical equipment parts, and polysulfone is suitable for making low-temperature working parts.

2. Polysulfone is commonly used in electronic and electrical industry to manufacture integrated circuit board, coil tube rack, contactor, sleeve rack, capacitor film and high performance alkaline battery shell.

3. Polysulfone is used in microwave oven equipment, coffee heater, humidifier, hair dryer, cloth dryer, beverage and food distributor, tableware, water cup, milk bottle and so on. It can also replace nonferrous metals for precision structural parts of clocks, copiers, cameras, etc.

4. Polysulfone has passed the relevant specifications in the field of medicine and food in the United States, and can replace stainless steel products. Because polysulfone is resistant to steam, hydrolysis, non-toxic, high temperature steam disinfection, high transparency and good dimensional stability, it can be used as surgical tool tray, sprayer, fluid controller, heart valve, pacemaker, gas mask, denture holder, etc.
