Fiberglass Grinding Wheel Brief Introduction



The fabric is woven by fiberglass yarn which is treated with silane coupling agent. There are two kind, plain and leno weave. With many unique characteristics like high strength, good bonding performance with resin, flat surface and low elongation, it is used as an ideal base material for making fiberglass reinforced grinding wheel disc.

 Improving of Weaving Technique



 


1.Weaving from yarns without twist: Reduce the damage on yarns during textile process so that to achieve better reinforcement for glass fiber discs; Theoretically speaking, yarns without twist will be thinner coalition yarns, could reduce the thickness of glass fiber discs(under data analysis), beneficial to thin or ultrathin grinding wheels.

2.New weaving technique: reduce the damage on wrap yarns during coalition process, uniform the tensile strength from wrap and fill direction, make better reinforcement for glass fiber discs. Also the new weaving technique can help reduce the thickness of products.

  Comparison between C-glass & E-glass


 



 1. E-glass has higher tensile strength than C-glass, better reinforcement for the grinding wheels


 2. E-glass has higher Elongation, it will help to reduce the glass fiber abrasive cutting ratio during the forming process of the grinding wheels when it in a high stress.


     3. E-glass has higher volume density, around 3% volume smaller in the same weight, increase the abrasive dosage and improve the grinding efficiency & result of grinding wheels.


     4. E-glass has better properties on humidity resistance, water resistance & aging resistance, strength the weather ability of fiberglass discs & extend the guarantee period of the grinding wheel.
