LDS-50C-2/-3 Laser Scanning Ranging Radar
The LDS-50C-2/-3 model product is a cost-effective twodimensional pulsed lidar, which uses a pulsed laser to emit a single laser pulse to the target, and calculates and processes the round-trip time by receiving the laser pulse echo diffusely reflected from the target. Send the distance data and angle information of its calculation target to other devices through the serial port. It has a high-speed laser ranging sampling capability up to 16,000 times per second. And with the optical and magnetic fusion technology, it overcomes the life limitation of traditional lidar and can operate reliably and stably for a long time.

System composition and connection
LDS-50C-2/-3 mainly includes the laser ranging module and the power supply processing module and mechanical parts that make the laser ranging module rotate at a high speed. During normal operation, the ranging core will begin to rotate clockwise to scan. Users can obtain scanning and ranging data through the communication interface of LDS-50C, and control the start, stop and rotation speed of the rotating motor through the communication interface.
The angular resolution of LDS-50C-2/-3 will be adjusted automatically according to the actual rotation frequency when scanning, and the user does not need to provide a complicated power supply system for it. Refer to the following text for specific power supply and communication interface information.
Tips
In order to ensure the normal operation of LDS-50C-2/-3, please ensure that a reasonable laser emitting and receiving window space is arranged when the external system is designed. Partial occlusion of the ranging optical window by the external system will affect the ranging performance and accuracy. If you have special requirements or you want to use a transparent cover to protect this sensor, please contact pacecat for feasibility.
