From three generation, Erminio Campa viticoltore has been a family business since 1943 and it is currently run from the three brothers Erminio, Valentino and Francesco. The winery is located in Torricella (Puglia, Italy) within the typical area of Primitivo di Manduria DOP, the best area for primitivo production.The company has a total area of approximately 20 hectares of owned vines and 8 hectares of olive tree. We produces only Primitivo di Manduria and extra vergin oil of olive. The vineyard is planted mostly with bush vine called "Alberello Pugliese", growing on clay and "terra rossa" soils, it enjoys the sun as well as gentle and breezy winds; those factors contribute to the production of top-quality grapes. In addition to the favourable terroir Francesco, Valentino and Erminio, all take care personally of the cultivation of the vineyard that is executed with modern techniques, but with the utmost attention to ecological and biological balance, and with great respect for the environment. Vineyard activity is meticulous. The harvest is done by hand, with a specific attention to selection of the best grapes. The fermentation and vinification take place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, while the maturation is achieved in the bottle for almost six months. We are proud to say that our wines have been awarded by the most famous wine magazines and wine challenges. Moreover, we are currently served on Alitalia Intercontinental flights of Business Class Magnifica and we had the honour to be chosen by Pope Francis to be included into the Holy wine list for Christian World tour 2018.
