Sheet Metal Clinching is a process used to join two or more layers (Thin and ductile) of material . It is a high-speed mechanical fastening process for point joining sheet material, typically steels and aluminium alloys. It is a single-step technique, generally using a semi-tubular rivet to clinch the sheets in a mechanical joint. Neither pre-drilled holes nor rivets are required, allowing the joint to be made rapidly in one operation.The semi-tubular punch drives into the materials to be joined to form a mechanical interlock. In a word, the punch will have the layers,normally two, pierced and riveted. The punched hole size for this model is 2.5*7.5mm.
