The SLN Group came into existence with the purchase of 1000 acres of coffee plantation by the Late Shri SLN Sathappa Chettiar from the Rajah of Chettinad more than 50 years ago. We flourished in the business of growing coffee, enhancing capacity by adding 100 acres of plantation in 1973, and another 200 acres in 2003. In 1997 we started the business of trading in green coffee in a small way, setting up an export facility in the name of SLN Exports in the very next year. We also established a curing facility with a capacity of 20,000 MT in the year 2000, and a coffee processing unit .SLN Coffee had finally become a brand. The start of operations of our Instant Coffee Division marked a new era in the SLN Group's comprehensive coverage of the coffee industry. Today we export over 10,000 MT of green coffee every year, and are one of the leading suppliers of processed (both roasted ground coffee powder and soluble (instant) coffee powder). The SLN Group now delivers the entire coffee experience, from the plantation to the coffee cup.
