The process of pasting gold and silver leaf on the carved project


Step1:
The surface treatment of substrate,clean dust spray primer and make it smoothing.It is recommended to make the latex paint one or two times, the effect will be better.


Step2: 
Brush water-based glue, dilute the glue with water, and add a small amount of water-based pigment,as long as the
water-based pigment has a little color is ok,The ratio of glue to water is 1: 0.1- 0.15. After the glue is diluted, brush the glue according to the position where you need to paste gold leaf. Do not brush the glue where no gold leaf is needed,then waiting for dry,about 30-45 minutes.（please use white wool brush, when brushing glue, it should be in one direction,don’t repeat or use spay
gun is also ok）



Step3: 
Paste gold leaf,put gold and silver leaf in the place where there is glue,paste leaf one sheet by one sheet with a brush.When you can't see the glue on the bottom,it is finished.（Please wear pure cotton gloves when paste gold leaf. Do not touch it directly by hand, otherwise the gold foil will become black due to sweat on the hand）
Step4: 
Gold leaf cleaning, use an brush to clean up the extra gold leaf and check where there is no gold leaf, and then reattach the gold leaf 
Step 5: 
Brush water-based gold leaf protective oil,dilute the protection oil with water,ratio is 1:0.1-0.3.It is recommended to brush the protective oil two or three times,each times interval is 4 hours,give it enough time to dry out.
