It can be filter media of fully degradable disposable flat mask, the biodegradable compost can be fully degradable in one time for household compost.
What are the difference between the PLA meltblown and PP meltblown?
1) material diffeence
PLA meltblown is made of polyactic acide, made from corn. it's 100% biodegradable in 3-6 monthes under household compost.
PP meltblown is made of polypropylene, it's not biodegradable;
2) waterproofness / flame retardance
PP meltblown is hydrophobic; PLA meltblown is hydrophobic too.
PP meltblown is flame retardant; PLA meltblown is not flame retardant
What difference on 3 layers PLA disposable mask?
1) higher melting point of PLA earloop and PLA spunbond;
2) the mask machine which produce PP mask is not 100% sure can make PLA mask. The mask machine better is new style machine, which has plastic board to flat the fabric roll when transmitting on the conveyor belt.
Melting point
The melting point of PLA is between 130°C and 180°C. However the PP earloop, its melting point is about 45°C.
