What is NTP

Network Time Protocol (NTP) is a networking protocol for clock synchronization between computer systems over packet-switched, variable-latency data networks. In operation since before 1985, NTP is one of the oldest Internet protocols in current use.
NTP is intended to synchronize all participating computers to within a few milliseconds of Coordinated Universal Time(UTC).[1]:3
It uses the intersection algorithm, a modified version of Marzullo's algorithm, to select accurate time servers and is designed to mitigate the effects of variable network latency. NTP can usually maintain time to within tens of milliseconds over the public Internet, and can achieve better than one millisecond accuracy in local area networks under ideal conditions. Asymmetric routes and network congestion can cause errors of 100 ms or more.

• Uses PoE ( Power over Ethernet) for easy installation and operation

• Automatic Daylight Saving Time change (if applicable)
• Adjustable brightness (brilliant, bright, normal, dim, off)
• Capability to receive realtime countdown command
• If connection to NTP server is lost the clocks will continue to run on the built-in time base. When the connection is restored it will synchronize automatically.
• The clock features time loss notification by having a light on on the right lower corner

Optional Features:

(1) The clock can be single sided ( has one display) or double sided ( has two displays), if you need double sided clocks, please specify.

(2) Alarm function. We can add a bell relay into the clock, then you can connect the clock to bell and program the bell.

(3) Temperature/ humidity display is optional. We can add a sensor to the clock, then it can display time, teperature, and or humidity alternately.

Power Supply and Installation

If you need to buy power adapter/ installation accessory, please specify when you place order.

Power Supply

(1) If the local network supports PoE, then only one network cable is needed.
(2) If not, then an additional power adapter with a 5.5mm x 2.1mm connector is necessary.
Notes. Red LED clock should use 12V DC, green and blue LED clock should use 18V DC

Installation

There will be additional charge for installation accessories. Please specify when you place order if you need installation accessories.

For single- sided clocks, it's not necessary to use the installation accessories because on the back side there are two holes for hanging the clock on the wall, but for double- sided clocks, it is necessary to use the installation accessories.

Question:
Hi from Sweden, I am interest to buy this item, but I don’t know if you can send it to Sweden.
Answer:
Yes, we can send it to Sweden, we have CE, FCC, RoHS, ISO. Currently we have sold our NTP clocks and NTP servers to 68 countries or regions over the world.

Question:
When there is interruption of power supply, will the clock work?
Answer:
The clock doesn’t have a built-in battery, when there is interruption of power supply, it won’t work. But as soon as the clock is connected to power and network, it will display the correct time automatically, no need of manual adjusting.

Question:
When there is interruption of network, is there any indication? And will the clock still display correct time?
Answer:

Normally the clock synchronizes with NTP server every 5 minutes. When there is interruption of network, a small dot will appear on the lower right corner of the LED display and the clock won’t synchronize, so it will be inaccurate slowly, the deviation is about 1 minute per day! When it is connected to network again, it will display correct time and automatically and the dot will disappear.

Question:
Hello! Does this clock display 24h? Or is it 12h am/pm only?
Answer:
It can be set to either 12or 24 hour display. You can set on the management software. When it is set 12 hour display, a dot will appear on the left upper corner of the LED display to mean am.

Question:
Hello! Does this clock support IPv6?
Answer:
No, the current version only supports IPv4.

Question:
Can we set up the time without a NTP server?
Answer:
It does require some NTP server, such as our NTP server (model: GTT100, GTT200, GTT400) or internet based source( internet public NTP server). With that available, it will keep itself accurate and on the money.
