Detection principle:

The propeller of aircraft, propeller of ship or high-power axial fan are used as the air supply equipment to blow air to the curtain wall at a certain speed outside the curtain wall specimen, so as to generate the pressure to make the main frame members and components reach the required average deflection. At the same time, spray water with a certain flow rate on the outside of the curtain wall specimen, and observe the leakage on the inside of the curtain wall specimen. Sometimes in order to meet the requirements of static pressure difference or deflection, ordinary centrifugal fan can be used as auxiliary air supply equipment.

This test requires that the curtain wall specimen must be installed by external spraying, and all drain holes on the test sample should be opened. When the auxiliary pressure supply equipment is not opened, the static pressure box should be opened to ensure smooth connection with the atmospheric space in the test room; when the auxiliary pressure supply equipment is opened, the wind pressure on the test piece is the sum of the static pressure formed by the auxiliary air supply and the dynamic pressure formed by the propeller.

According to the requirements of AAMA 501.1-94, establish the wind speed required to generate specific pressure. The water spray system meets the requirements of ASTM E 331 Part 7. Water is applied to the outside of the test sample, and the specified amount of water is applied to the surface of the test sample. At the same time of sprinkling, the specified dynamic pressure shall be applied rapidly, and the pressure shall be maintained along the specified sprinkling surface until the required time of the test.

Previously, the dynamic watertight test mostly used the direct drive of aircraft engine, and the operator adjusted the propeller speed in the cab. In this way, due to manual adjustment, the speed is difficult to be stable, resulting in wind speed fluctuations; the cab will block the wind flow, resulting in the decline of wind speed; aviation fuel is difficult to buy and expensive. In view of a series of disadvantages caused by the use of aero-engine, we designed a special inverter motor as the power source. Using frequency converter to adjust the speed, the speed can be stabilized at any set value, and the frequency can also be changed to form a fluctuating value; the motor is installed on the windward side with a small cross-sectional area, which will not form a big shelter for the wind flow; the power is clean and pollution-free, and the price is cheap.
