Polylactic (PLA) is a new biodegradable material made from starch extracted from renewable plant resources such as corn and straw. The starch raw material was obtained by saccharification, the high purity lactic acid was produced by fermentation of the monosaccharide and certain strains, and the polylactic acid with certain molecular weight was synthesized by chemical synthesis method. Due to its good biodegradability, it can be completely degraded by microorganisms in nature after use, resulting incarbon dioxide and water. It does not pollute the environment and is recognized as an environmentally friendly material.
