Cement based tile glue

 

Dry building mixture based on cement binder, fractionated sand and special functional additives. It is used for all types of ceramic tiles with a water absorption of  not less than 2% and with size of no more than 30x30 cm, for interior work. Convenient application, absence of tiles slipping and good quality glue reduces the time required for the completion of work and putting the tile floor into operation. After the material has cured, a strong adhesive layer is forming, and that allows the tile covering to be used in public, residential premises and outdoors. 

 

APPLICATION

Using a suitable tool (trowel, spatula, etc.), apply the mortar to the substrate. Spread the mortar over the substrate in the required layer using a notched trowel. The height of the spatula tooth is approximately equal to two thicknesses of the resulting continuous layer (for example, if the tooth height is 8 mm, then the layer thickness will be about 4 mm). To improve adhesion and avoid the formation of voids under the tiles, especially when laying large tiles and in rooms with high operational loads, it is recommended to apply the adhesive both to the base and to the back surface of the tile. Immediately after distributing the mortar in the selected area, lay a tile or other masonry element (porcelain stoneware, natural stone, etc.) on it, press it firmly to the base and fix it for a few seconds. Correct the position of the tile using an appropriate tool (level, etc.), if necessary, moving it up or slightly sinking down. A one-time area for applying glue is selected empirically, based on the fact that the last tile must be laid, and its position must be corrected, 15 minutes after applying the solution to the base.
