What grades & shapes are available for neodymium magnets?

Grades N35, N38, N40, N42, N48, N50, and N52 are available for all shapes & sizes of NdFeB magnets. We stock these magnets in disc, bar, block, rod and ring shapes.

We don't show all of our manufactured neodymium magnets on this website so please contact us if you can't see what you are looking for.

3. Surface Treatment

Do neodymium magnets require surface treatments?

Yes. If magnets are without surface coating (also named plating), it may rust easily under humid conditions.

There have many plating options like Nickel, Zinc, Gold, Black Epoxy, White Epoxy coating and so on.

Zn and Nickle coating are the most popular coating. The magnet with plating will resist the corrosion effectively.

Q1: What is a neodymium magnet?

A: Neodymium magnet is also named NdFeB magnet, and its chemical formula is Nd2Fe14B. Neodymium magnet is a man-made permanent magnet, and it is a magnet with the strongest magnetism under normal temperature at present.

 

Q2: What is the difference between sintered neodymium magnet and bonded neodymium magnet?

A: Neodymium magnet includes sintered neodymium and bonded neodymium magnet. Bonded magnet actually is made through injection moulding technology, and sintered neodymium magnet is made through high temperature heating under vacuum condition. The magnetism of sintered neodymium is much stronger than the magnetism of bonded neodymium magnet.
