Using Effects
It is USB-powered, so it is made to hook right into a PC, laptop, or other sources of USB power (ie, battery bank, or USB to AC adapter). It is absolutely designed around those looking to get started as bloggers more than anything. Or, if you are us and could never have enough lighting for any odd/given situation. USB? Sure! We have plenty of battery solutions for that. That's what we use for our professional lights (v-mount battery with USB-out) that right with our mobile DSLR or video rigs.
It comes with a lot of accessories to make everything work for you. The Tripod is well spread out (long legs, oo la la) to make sure nothing tips over, and it even comes with a mount for your phone (or action cam, if you can make it work without clamping onto sensitive buttons). We do recommend though, that you bend and shape the gooseneck of the phone mount before you apply it, as it feels like the mount-point on the light for it could crack if you put too much pressure on it while bending and molding it.
Beyond that last part, it seems like a great light and we approve. More so when it is on sale like when we snagged it, as its
normal price does get a little dangerously close to some more powerful options.
