B--Technical Details 

1. Question: What’s the difference between Straight and Reverse cables and which one does I need?

* Answer: With telephone cables, if the two ends of the cables were to be held side by side in the same direction, a straight cable would have the order for the wires leading to the contacts the same, while the reverse would have one end in the opposite order of the other.

2. For example, with a 6P4C cable, with a straight cable, the order of the colored wires on both would be the same.

* White to White. * Black to Black. * Red to Red. * Yellow to Yellow * Green to Green * Blue to Blue

3. With reverse cable, each end would be the opposite.

* White to Blue * Black to Yellow * Red to Green * Green to Red * Yellow to Black * Blue to White

4. In telecommunications application for residential phone lines whether for voice or data (DSL) the pinouts are for each line as set in Pairs and paired from the inside out inside of the right.
