Rubber Joist Isolation Clips are used as a highly effective way to isolate and decouple floor joists from the subflooring. By decoupling the floor joists, the room is able to be isolated from its surrounding structure. Rubber floor joist isolators simply snap onto any "2x" joist or stud (2x4, 2x6, etc) and do not require any fastener that could harm the isolation value.

Rubber Joist Isolation Clips are used primarily in floating floor applications which are
very popular in sound studios, recording booths, control booths, home theaters, and speaker floor mounts. The floor joist
isolators would be installed on the bottom of the new floating floor joists when they are being laid down. Joist Isolators are
also the ideal decoupling method for home theater raised platforms.
