Properties: white or almost white or slightly copper blue crystal powder. It belongs to the ceruloplasmin family, with a molecular weight of 140kd and consists of two identical subunits (70kD). It's an oxidoreductase. It catalyzes the reaction of ascorbic acid and oxygen to produce dehydroascorbic acid. Ascorbic acid is an unsaturated polyhydroxy compound, which exists in the form of lactone. Hydrogen on the enol hydroxyl group between the two and three carbon atoms can be dissociated into H +, so it is acidic
