ROSIM's smart Parking system is used for individual parking space monitoring in real-time to guidance the driver to the empty parking space more quickly and easier. The system includes wireless parking space sensor and wireless parking data collector.

2. How it works?
The sensor employs magnetic and optical dual detection technology to detect the space if it is occupied or free. The sensor will detect the parking data in real-time and send the data to the data collector/gateway by wireless link immediately.
When car parked on the sensor, the sensor send "occupied" in that time.
When car leaved the space, the sensor send "free" in that time.

How to choose sensor
| The customer reviewed three possible technical options of vehicle detection to solve its issue. | |
| Inductive Loop | Installation is costly and requires long parking shutdown. On top of that, regular recalibration is needed to keep an acceptable occupancy reliability indication. For the client, a completely unsupervised system was a key requirement, so that loop counting was dismissed. |
| Ultrasonic Detection | Installation is even longer and needed infrastructure (cables on ceiling and IT infrastructure) was not adapted to a commercially interesting retrofit. |
| Wireless Detection | In order to limit costs and neutralization time of parking spaces, the customer chose to deploy wireless sensors on its indoors parking spaces. This kind of sensor is perfect for the outdoor parking lot and on-street parking lot. Each parking space sensor was installed in less than 5mimutes. |
