It was in 1945 when we began this exciting adventure of making our cured sausages. With the same flavour as always but trying to improve day after day. For more than 75 years, at Embutidos Ezequiel, we have been making our products respecting tradition, complying with all the quality standards and maintaining an activity backed by constant innovation and keeping up with the times. We manufacture our products in accordance with three fundamental pillars: First of all, respect for tradition. To this end, we select the best qualities of each of the elements involved in our elaborations. The excellence of the meat from Spain in its 80%, the strength of the paprika from the Protected Designation of Origin of La Vera or the intensity of the purple garlic from Las Pedroneras are key to the final result. But, in addition, the use of natural casing and smoking with oak wood gives our products flavours and nuances to the height of the most demanding palates. But tradition is not incompatible with compliance with the most demanding regulations. With the aim of improving day after day, both in the quality and service of our products, we comply with the most demanding quality standards. Among those that endorse us, we have IFS Food Version 6, Specific Self-Control Systems for Export (SAE), Protected Geographical Indication Cecina de Leon (PGI), Collective Brand Chorizo de Leon and Guarantee Brand Tierra de Sabor, as well as the Iberian standard (Royal Decree 4/2014). Finally, but not least, our activity is based on continuous
updating and innovation. Our R&D&I team is constantly working on the creation of new products and the development of new manufacturing processes. In doing so, we aim to promote healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle, but without ever forgetting our true essence: the care and respect for our tradition that we have been providing for more than 75 years. Latest certification Halal: Our cecina Halal is certified by the "Halal Institute" which guarantees that a product meets the standards that the Islamic Law "Sharia" establishes for its consumption. Our employees work daily to ensure that halal requirements are met at all stages of the production process. The cattle is slaughtered under the required conditions and each piece is sealed in a special way so that there is no contamination with the rest of the products. At Fabrica de Embutidos y Jamones Ezequiel we have more than 5,000 square metres of infrastructure, as well as the most highly-qualified professionals. But we also take advantage of the best weather conditions. The climate of the mountains of Leon is essential in the production of our sausages and, therefore, in obtaining a unique flavour and quality.
