Glauconite (eng. Glauconite (glaucony)) is a complex potassium-containing aqueous aluminosilicate, a mineral from the group of hydromicas of a subclass of layered silicates of variable and complex composition, expressed by the average formula (K, Na, Ca) x (Fe3+, Mg, Fe2+, Al) 2 [( Al,Si)Si3O10](OH)2×H2O. As an independent mineral species, it has been known since 1828 by the work of Kerferstein, who gave it its name (from the Greek glaukos - bluish-green).

The variety with a predominance of potassium is called Celadonite. This product is also innovative with a given fine nanostructure of the fraction up to 5 microns. The characteristics of the subtlety of this product allow you to expand the areas of its use, and in traditional areas of application, get a more powerful result. It is also a novelty for both Russian and foreign markets. This is a more expensive product. Due to its subtlety, this product is in demand as a pigment for paintwork, artistic paints, icon painting. It allows you to get various shades of green in almost eternal stability. The selling price as a highly resistant pigment can reach up to 2,000 thousand rubles/ton.
