Gin Mare is produced in an old fishing village between the Costa Brava and the Costa Dorada lies a 13th century chapel that houses a custom-made still. It’s here that Gin Mare is produced, inspired not only by local botanicals and flavours, but by the rhythms and culture of its location. The people behind Gin Mare set out to distill and bottle the Mediterranean and export it to the world. Gin Mare is made by artisan production, with the sole intention of creating a genuinely Mediterranean Gin. Carrying out a delicate maceration, distilling each botanical separately and adding the inimitable experience of the master craftsman. Everything about this gin takes its inspiration from the Mediterranean: the lifestyle and approach to gastronomy in this unique part of the
world; from the botanicals used to the techniques employed to make it. This is expressed through its highly distinctive flavour profile: a Savoury, Herbaceous celebration of Mediterranean flavours such as the Arbequina olives, Basil, Thyme and Rosemary that are used to produce it.
Gin Mare is crafted with a blend of single distillates of each of its botanicals. This allows the master distiller to always
deliver the same exceptional gin. Gin Mare starts with a premium barley base, combined with a delicate maceration of 36 to 48 hours and independent distillation process of each botanical, finalised by its signature blending which allows all the
characteristics of each botanical to be expressed in the final product. Our citrus are peeled by hand and then macerated for 12months in small aluminum tanks.
