Overview
Rambutan is a tropical fruit that originated
from Southeast Asia. Its name comes from a
Malay word means “hair”, referring to the
fruit’s unique appearance. Rambutan is small
in size, has round or oval shape. The leathery
skin is reddish (rarely orange or yellow) and
covered with fleshy pliable spines, that resembles a sea urchin.When eating rambutan, the white flesh of the fruit has a light sweet taste with a seed in the center.
