The difference between Korean Red Ginseng and Korean Taegeuk(Taekuk) Ginseng

 

Korean Red Ginseng

Korean Red ginseng is the reddish yellow products which is produced through steaming and drying to preserve fresh ginseng for a long time.

Fresh Ginseng is processed so that the moisture content is less than 15% through steaming and drying processes. In addition, the non-enzymatic browning reaction is promoted during the manufacturing process, giving it a dark brown color and processing it into a very hard form to maintain its original shape for a long time.

 

Korean Taegeuk(Taekuk)(Taekuk) Ginseng

Korean Taegeuk(Taekuk) Ginseng is a ginseng product that has been processed to maintain the original straight shape of ginseng.

It is an intermediate product between Red Ginseng and White Ginseng (sun dried ginseng with removing fine roots and peeling off skin).

Korean Taegeuk(Taekuk) Ginseng is made by soaking fresh ginseng in hot water for a certain period of time, then taking it out and drying it.

The skin color of Korean Taegeuk(Taekuk) ginseng is yellowish-brown. But, when we cut Korean Taegeuk(Taekuk) ginseng, the internal color is a reddish brown which similar with Red Ginseng.

It is manufactured with fine roots separated from the manufactured red ginseng.

It is divided into large, medium, and small according to its size, and the type and content of ginsenoside components are different from those of the body, and the bitter taste is strong.

It is a red ginseng extract by decoction of only Korean red ginseng for more than 50 hours.

You can feel the unique aroma, taste and medicinal effect of red ginseng as it is.

Features of Geumsan Ginseng

 

Geumsan is the largest ginseng production center in Korea as well as is home to the world's largest ginseng & medicinal herbs market.

Geumsan Ginseng is known as a mysterious herbal medicine with the tradition of over 1,500 years to the world.

 

To get a good quality ginseng, it is necessary the complicated growth environment and geographical conditions and the number of years of cultivation.

 

Geumsan has the optimal requirements for growing ginseng because 70% is made up of mountains, it has good drainage and a large daily temperature difference.

 

Ginseng produced in Geumsan has usually longer body, harder and whiter color.

In addition, Geumsan ginseng is harvested in early July during the highest level of ginseng's pharmacological contents. So, it contains a higher saponin ingredient and superior medicinal properties than other regions.
