WHAT IS ELDERBERRY AND WHAT ARE ITS BENEFITS?
Elderberry is a plant that is most highly recognized as a natural health remedy, to support immune systems. All of our elderberry products are made from the dried berries of the Sambucus Nigra plant.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TAKE ELDERBERRY AND HOW MUCH IS ONE DOSE?
We always recommend to talk with your physician and do your own research when it comes to using elderberry. Some of our customers take it year-round, others take it only when they are seeking to support their immune system. An adult serving is approximately one tablespoon and a child serving is approximately one teaspoon. You can take elderberry once a day or up to three times daily if needed.
WHAT MAKES YOUR ELDERBERRY PRODUCTS DIFFERENT FROM THE KIND I CAN BUY AT THE GROCERY STORE?
Two things distinguish us from store-bought elderberry syrup: ingredients and cost. As opposed to glucose syrup and other additives, we use raw, local honey in our syrup. Also, we don't add preservatives to our syrup, and our syrup is roughly 1/2 of the cost of store-bought elderberry syrup.
HOW DO I STORE MY ELDERBERRY SYRUP AND HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Our elderberry syrup will last approximately 30-60 days in the refrigerator. You can also freeze our elderberry syrup in ice cube trays for up to 6-8 months and thaw out smaller amounts as necessary. This is a great option for those families who do not intend to use elderberry syrup preventatively on a daily basis.

We get this question a lot. Here is a quick reference to how much elderberry syrup we suggest based on your family size.
One Adult - 16oz
Two Adults - 32oz
One Child - 16oz

Two Adults, One Child - 32oz and 16oz
Two Adults, Two Children - 32oz and 16oz
The suggested quantities are based on each family member taking their suggested serving of elderberry syrup once daily and to allow the family to use up that quantity in the 30-60 day shelf life of our syrup.
Our 16oz jar holds approx. 30-60 adult servings or 90-180 child servings. We sell our syrup in 16oz and 32oz jars.
An adult serving is 1 Tablespoon. A child serving is 1 teaspoon.
We always recommend checking with your physician. A lot of our customers use our elderberry syrup daily year round, some use it daily during the colder months of the year and some use it only when they are seeking to support their immune system. We recommend to our customers to do your research, ask your doctor and use our syrup how it best fits you and your family's needs.

The approximate strength of our syrup is 800 mg per tablespoon. While research on elderberry is still developing, we have found that this strength and dosage is effective for preventative use for adults (one teaspoon preventatively for children).
WHERE DO YOUR ELDERBERRIES COME FROM?
Our sources may change depending on supply. We currently get our elderberries from Bulgaria and Ukraine.
CAN YOU TAKE THIS WHILE PREGNANT?
When it comes to pregnancy there is not a ton of studies done on it. We have tons of pregnant/ breastfeeding mommas who use our Elderberry Syrup though! We do believe it is safe for both! We always recommend checking with your physician and making the decision that makes you most comfortable.
IS YOUR SYRUP ORGANIC?
While we use organic ingredients in our products, we are not USDA certified organic.

WHY IS YOUR SYRUP NOT SHIPPED COLD?
Our syrup is certified as “non-potentially hazardous” which means that it does not create a hospitable environment for harmful bacteria to grow. Our instructions to refrigerate upon arrival are for quality purposes, not safety. Being outside of the fridge for even up to 4 or 5 days may take a few days off its full shelf life of 60 days but not compromise the safety of our product. We recommend getting it in the fridge upon arrival!
